Ansons was founded by Bruce Robertson in 1986. Then located on the Upper Newtownards Road in Belfast, Ansons offered a friendly and professional service; advising on and obtaining patent and trade mark protection, licensing and litigation particularly in the United Kingdom but also in Europe and elsewhere.
In 2002 we joined MacLachlan & Donaldson, a Dublin based firm of Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys, thereby enabling the firm to offer its services across the whole of the island of Ireland.
We celebrated our 25th year in 2011 by moving premises and are now located in the heart of Belfast city centre.
